Borrowing Materials from the Library

A current BCCC Library card is required to check out material from the library.

Students and members of the community over the age of 16 are welcome to get library cards to check out materials.

General procedures regarding library cards are as follows:

  • A photo ID with a current mailing address is required to complete an application form.
  • A library card is required to check out materials.
  • Patrons should inform the library staff of any changes in address or phone number.
  • Patrons are responsible for the materials charged to their card.
  • There will be a $3.00 cost to replacement cards.

You may place an item on hold from the catalog system or by contacting the circulation desk.

Interlibrary Loan

(Borrowing from other libraries)

  • The Interlibrary loan service allows current BCCC  students, faculty, patrons and staff to borrow books, articles, and other materials not available in BCCC Library's holdings. 
  • Before submitting a request, check the library's holdings first.
  • Request your items as soon as possible items can take a week or two to arrive.

The library staff will mail ILL items directly to distance learning students. Please specify this on the interlibrary loan form or when you contact the circulation desk.
