Accessing the Library

Remote (Off Campus) Access

All BCCC databases and digital resources

are avaliable for off campus use.

BCCC A-Z Database List

FLIPSTER- access current and archived issues

of dozens of digital magazines.

When opening a database, e-book, digital magazine,

or another resource from off campus,

you will be prompted to log into the library's proxy server.

There are two authentication options:

Students/Faculty- use BCCC Network Login – log in with your network (Blackboard) user name and current password,

Library Patrons use Library Card Number– to access online BCCC content when not on campus enter your full library card number. 

Library Card Application

A current BCCC Library card is required

to check out material from the library.

Students and community members over

the age of 16 can apply for a card. 

A photo ID with a current mailing address is required

to complete an application form. 

Patrons are responsible for keeping contact info updated,

for any materials charged to their card,

and for paying a $3.00 cost if a replacement card is needed.


Public Access

Beaufort County Community College provides

an academic library for the use of its students, faculty and staff.

Additionally, community residents are welcome to visit,

obtain a library card and use library materials

in accordance with library policies. 

Community Library patrons who are not current students, 

but are seeking to use the Library computers,

please use the following steps to login to the active directory:

For the user name enter a lower case "g" followed by

the last 6 digits of the barcode number for your BCCC library card.

Your password will be your last name with the first letter capitalized

and as many zeros as it takes to reach eight characters. 

Example:  g123456  Password:  Sparks00
