Borrowing

The library staff does not assume the role of parent or supervisor of minors, 

and is not responsible for monitoring the use of materials, computers, or internet access.

Please contact the library for the "Library Use Agreement" for patrons/students age 16 and under.

 

Library Card and Borrowing

Library cards are required for all item checkout.

All members of the community over the age of 16 can apply for library cards. Students who are 16 or younger need parental/guardian permission to obtain a library card and gain library access.

Library card applications can be completed using the linked form below, or in person:

  • patrons are required to provide current and updated addresses and phone numbers
  • patrons are responsible for the materials charged to their card
  • there is a $3.00 replacement card fee

InterLibrary Loan

  • The InterLibrary Loan service allows current BCCC  students, faculty, patrons and staff to borrow books, articles, and other materials not available in BCCC Library's holdings. 
  • Before submitting a request, check the library's holdings first.
  • Request your items as soon as possible; items can take a week or two to arrive.

The library staff can mail ILL items directly to distance learning students. Please specify this on the InterLibrary Loan Form or when you contact the circulation desk.

You may place an item on hold from the catalog system or by contacting the library.

Renewals:

Call the library at 252-940-6282 or email the library to see if your item can be renewed.
